Shadowed is a Megazeux game from the 90s. It's a simple game in the style of Darkness. Has a plot involving the government abducting and performing experiments on radiation poisoning victims which, while not very well-executed, is better than what's in a lot of Megazeux games... and there is a fair amount of dialogue, even if it's not extremely high-quality stuff.

Most of the game after the first few boards is minigames and simplistic combat. There are two zones you can clear, but one is optional and has no apparent effect on the game's outcome. One of the minigames, where you guide a robot through the center of a snaking passage, really sucks. Remember that the movement controls can also stop the robot if you push the last movement direction again.

Music is appropriate, but generic stuff used in tons of other Megazeux games. Sounds are all right, not bad for a 90s Megazeux game. Graphics are mostly ugly though, see screenshots. Minimally acceptable at best, little better than ZZT.

Unfortunately I didn't get to see the ending, because the last board is corrupted. I remember I couldn't extract the archive back in the 90s, so this must be a salvaged version of the same file.

This would have probably been a three star game back when it was released. Like, a middle-tier 90s game. It's interesting for that reason, and at least worth glancing through..
